In the land of the long Forgotten

Postby Pauly » Sun Jun 26, 2011 6:04 am

Watching the years go by.

Seeing them fly like love being thrown out a window.

As each year passes you see yourself evolve,

Transforming

Growing stronger.

You hold yourself up

Strength under pressure.

From the meaningless stress of life lead into the depressurization of death.

Life while seemingly meaningless, is wholly worth living.

The experiences had, the memories gained and forgotten.

Crossing the eternal abyss of your mind, through the maze of memories with no crumb trail to find a way out.

Lost in a feeling of release. Finding an emotion at every corner.

Dipsy doodling through your cerebral cortex forces you to find things unimaginable before today.

Your memory, eternally finite finds the most sub-atomic memory from a time long forgotten, from a land of the lost.

With overflowing amount of memories in this miniscule space, your brain focuses in on one.

It’s a good thought.

A pure thought.

Time is ticking quickly. A slowing fascination would be greatly appreciated.

Right as the thought is about to hit its climax

Self destruction.

It all comes crumbling down to a familiar sound.

Your friends, your family, all dying due to this reality that is slowly being destroyed.

Panic.

Fear.

Anger.

Eyes now wide open

It’s 8:30.

Time to wake up.

Le End.

This isn't a suicide note, but I imagine with a bit of editing it could be one. Figured it would be a good idea to get an idea to write at 12 when I have to be up at 5:30. Either way enjoy. Feed back is always nice.

'Tis decent. I have to say though, I always find it hard to comment on poetry for some reason.
