Record Store Day

Record Store Day is coming up tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to it as a vinyl collector!
Record Store Day is an exlusive day to get vinyls never released before, and rare copies of old vinyls which a re-pressed just for this day.
Other than that, there is a whole lot of great concerts around in London and other places.

Personally I'm going to spent quite a lot of money tomorrow.

It's fun to see how popular the vinyl has become again. 4,3 Million vinyls where sold in 2012, where just 1.5 where sold in 2000.
Personally I've always had vinyls at home because I listen to the same music as my dad. But it's weird that when everything goes digital, the vinyl suddenly makes a comeback.

What's your thought on vinyls? Is it better than CD/MP3? Why is it suddenly so popular again?

I have never collected vinyl, nor do I think the audio quality is better as many vinyl aficionados claim, but I can certainly see their appeal.

Why has it become so popular again? Hipsters.

Now now, I do see a point in collection vinyl. They continue to make them, and they will eventually sell at high profit. Like my Unholy Comfessions Single Vinyl, for example. Not worth much yet, but will sometime soon.

Hey, I never said I didn't see a point too it, even if you completely ignore the fact their value might increase. I'm a collector at heart, I completely get it. Vinyl just isn't one of my things.
