EA have Closed another Studio down, this time its victim is Visceral Games, famous for the Dead Space Series and the panned Battlefield Hardline, they where developing a new Star Wars.

So who is next for the EA marker of Doom!

All started to go downhill with Dead Space 3 sadly, where EA's bullshit started to rear its head. I never played Hardline but they did a great job with Dead Space. I think it's fair to say they had a large hand in resurrecting survival horror. Shame to see them go.

Sadly, this is what EA do, their greed is all consuming. A great shame.

Gaming with EA and Activision is beyond cutthroat now. Put out 1 bad game, and you're on the chopping block to get closed down.

Didn't play Hardline so can't speak for it but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the reason it wasn't what was expected was because of the requirements placed by EA in the first place. Sure was a bad influence on Dead Space 3, at least. Even with Dead Space 2 I imagine the inflated marketing budget and dev costs for that useless multiplayer mode severely impacted its profitability.

Bioware is fucked then, they really need anthem to be the destiny killer that EA want it to be

Which it won't be, and combined with the failure that was Andromeda, well, looks bleak for them too.

I have a feeling Bioware's days are numbered at this point. I can't see the developers getting the time, freedom or budget to have a chance of taking on Destiny. EA just aren't flexible enough and won't take the risks to allow for an incredible game.
