I've been having a blast playing the prop hunt mode. Sadly it seems to be a limited time event.

That used to be a solely weekend warfare game mode, however CoD took to twitter and asked player to choose which playlist they'd like permanently added and the resounding majority said Prop Hunt. At the moment it should be double XP and Depot Credits but that won't be forever, whereas the gamemode is now permanently available.

Interestingly, playerbase is up and the majority are now in Prop Hunt lobbies too. No one expected TDM to suffer so much from it!

Its hide and seek but you can pick anything on the map and transform into it. you wait out the timer if you're the props and the hunters try to find you and kill you. normally there are damage penalties so the hunters can't just shoot anything until they get lucky.

yea but getting some pals and playing that is so much fun.

it started out as a PC mod on the original CoD4. The developers must have taken notice of its popularity. I was playing earlier, over a third of the Ps4 playerbase was on the game mode.

What is prop hunt? how does it work?

it would make for some amusing videos I might put together a montage.
