I'm curious as to why DICE didn't name the game Battlefield WW1 as oppose to Battlefield 1. Simple, straight to the point and clear for those who aren't aware.

ah, I was thinking you were referring to Battlefield Hardline, which on second thought was probably more ridiculous than an alternate history WW1 could ever be.

Though most Battlefield games are alternate realities anyway, BC1 still had the MEC, an impossibility by today's standards, BC2 took place in a Russian invaded South America for some reason.

BF2 was on PS2 and Xbox, it was cut down and called Battlefield 2: Modern Conflict, so they did make a console game

yeah, but online multiplayer on consoles hadn't really skyrocketed into a major industry at that point yet. Plus it was pretty much completely in the shadow of Call of Duty 2.

Or 'Battlefield 1914' but WW1 works too, I guess anything is better than Battlefield 1. It just sounds really weird to me.

Everyone knows if you put a 'one' after something, it's definitely going to be the best thing ever. *Cough*

"Play Battlefield 1, on Xbox One, first because this is the #1 best selling franchise, on the #1 selling console"

Sales figures represent 1 day sales on release dates of console and video games, and do not represent annual sales due to copyright infringement

Now, if this was videos for the next COD release, I'd be quite excited for it. Instead of not pre-ordering it for the first time in forever.
