That was me who posted, forgot to sign in. How that guy can say he feels for liverpool while being a manu fan is either A) not a real manu fan B) someone who has no idea where manchester or liverpool is & thinks football was only invited in 1992 C) if a manu fan then he\'s a shit 1 as you don\'t have a soft spot for your rivals.

Champions League 05 & FA Cup 06 were the luckiest wins ever in either competition. Benitez won the trophies but the majority of the team was from Houiller\'s reign. Since making the squad his own he has had spent over £150m net & bought 4 good players (1 already moved on, Alonso). Reina, Torres, Mascherano the other 3. That\'s almost like for every good player he buys, he signs 12 shit players/poor choices. Could be here all day naming them.

Whats that got him? Taken them from 3rd best team to 7th best, early exit out of the cups which is becoming a regular thing nowdays for a team that classed themselves as cup specialists.

I\'m an Aston Villa fan, the team who are A) going to Wembley for the League Cup Final B) Still in the FA Cup which we should beat Brighton at home to get into the 5th round C) Got a Manager in who we fully back & D) Got a American owner who DOES know what he\'s doing & isn\'t dumping £350m+ debt on us.
Haha yes, coming down from 3-0 at half time against AC Milan was total luck? No, that\'s called skill, passion and determination. Oh yes, I\'m sure Gerrard\'s 40 yard hit against West Ham was total luck too, ball just spun off his boot when he was kicking mid air or something? How you can criticise another member on here for not being a proper football fan and then saying we were "lucky" is hilarious, but most of all hypocritical.

Signings: Reina, Torres, Mascherano, Alonso, Luis Garcia, Agger, Skrtel, Kuyt, Aquilani (yet to play much due to injury when he joined, but has an eye for a pass, like Alonso) and I am sure Maxi Rodriguez will do no harm on a free transfer.

Oh yes an Aston Villa fan, I think everything is summed up by a league cup final being the highlight of the last 10 years or so. (Which you\'ll get beaten in by United or \'Citeh\' anyway)
What about Benayoun! Legend 8)

The fa cup was lucky, Lionel Scaloni was injured and being the shit player he is, he tried to kick it out and ended up kicking it straight to gerrard.
I know Konchesky\'s goal was a joke aswell but all pundits other than Lawrenson and Hansen said West Ham were robbed that day.

I\'ll think you\'ve find we have had a shit past decade but the 1st 5 years were under a chairman who wouldn\'t release any funds & managed by David O\'Leary who has had 0 jobs since leaving us. Now under Lerner & O\'Neill we have rebuilt a club head to toe & are now starting to re affirm ourselves as worthy contenders in all competitions as we continue to grow bigger & better. Liverpool however seem to be doing the opposite.

Signings: Nunez, Josemi, Morientes, Degen, Itjande, Babel, Lucas, Kromkamp, Kryiagoas, Keane, Dossena, Vorinon, Pennant. (stopping now as hand starting to cramp & cant do the other 15+ failures) Crouch was sold to early, Arebola wanted to be back up at Real Madrid rather then be 1st team at Liverpool. Alonso left after being embarrassed by being put up for sale the previous summer as you tried to buy Barry & failed to do so.

Out of the players you named i would question a few of those of being a high quality. Torres, Reina, Mascherano & Alonso are undoubtedly quality. Luis Garcia was the best of 5 or 6 spanish players bought but was average. Kuyt is a striker but has been played on the right 90% of the time. Sktel & Agger have lived off Carragher & have yet to show themselves as independent. Maxi Rodruigez has been a great player but will he show those high levels at Liverpool so you can\'t claim him to be a great signing. Aquilani has only played a handful of games & is yet to show any value for money. But £150m net spend to have 3 quality players isn\'t good transfer & financial sense. If Benitez hadn\'t adapted a scatter gun approach & choosing mainly spanish players early on he could have put together a team capable of winning the league by now.

If Instanbul wasn\'t lucky why did so many fans leave at half time? Both times you messed up & was rescued twice by fantastic individual pieces of skill (Dudek save v shevcenko in ET & Gerrard 90th min 30 yarder v West Ham) But if your such a good club how come you allowed yourself to get into those situations?

I\'ll think you\'ll find any Man U fan would share my opinion of the so called Man U fan who has a soft spot for Liverpool.
