Poem - Morning

Postby Axikal » Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:10 pm

What do you dream of in the daytime?

When all the malevolent zephyrs dissipate from your ears
and the veil of midnight passes?

And the hands that wrought your fear and pain
are broken and scattered in the gutters?

The howlings of the wind subside
and your anxiety dissolves with the rise of the
morning glory

and your heart paces, races, paces

What do you dream of in the daytime?

When the drops of rain slide along your smile
tracking cleansing trails along your once fragile skin

and the grass plays along your sides
outlining you in bright greens

Are your worries lessened, weaker
with the Sun beating down on your tired
life-worn body?

Tell me

What do you dream of in the daytime?
